Drug Uses
Desyrel is used for treatment of depression. It may also be used for relief of an free-floating anxiety (e.g., sleeplessness, tension), chronic pain. It can also be used for other situations as recommended by your physician.
How Taken
Use Desyrel as ordered by your doctor. Use Desyrel after a meal or light snack. It may take 1 to 4 weeks for Desyrel to work. Do not stop taking Desyrel without consulting with your doctor.
More Information
Desyrel may cause drowsiness, dizziness, or blurred vision. These effects can worsen if Desyrel is taken with alcohol or certain other pills. Use Desyrel with caution. Do not drive or perform other possibly dangerous tasks until you know how you react to this drug. If your symptoms do not improve or if they worsen, contact your physician. Desyrel should be used only by the patient for whom it has been ordered. Do not take less or more or take it more often than directed by your physician.
